River Grass beneath Sterculia Tree
Because we water our newly transplanted trees regularly, I thought that planting grass nurseries underneath them would be a good idea - then both can benefit from the water. This is river grass which I dug up from the mudflats on the river's edge, and it requires a lot of water - beautiful and green it is though! 22 October 2007 -
River Grass outside Guestroom
The beginnings of a lawn to the left of our downstairs guestrooms. This is river grass too, so needs lots of water. Behind, you can see some other self-seeded grass. 22 October 2007 -
New grass on red soil (24 Oct 07)
The process is starting! Grass shoots on the red soil at the far end of the Hippo Lawn. More news from this day... -
